Enzyme Improvement of Soybean Meal
Whereas, Canadian researchers conducted a swine study with combinations
of xylanase, protease and glucanase. Results indicated that the addition
of these enzymes to a swine diet did not significantly affect (P<0.05)
the digestibility of dry matter, crude protein or energy; or pig weight
gain, feed take or carcass traits. They reported that xylanase improved
feed conversion during the growth phase; however, they concluded that
there is little justification for the routine inclusion of these enzymes
in corn-based diets for swine.
