Use of Soybean Meal in the Diets of Non-Salmonid Marine Fish

Forster, Ian, Oceanic Institute, Waimanalo, Hawaii
2017

Use of Soybean Meal in the Diets of Non-Salmonid Marine Fish – Products derived from soybeans have been shown to be excellent ingredients for practical feeds for many commercially important species of cultured non-salmonid marine fish. This is primarily because of the high level of protein containing a reasonably balanced amino acid profile, its low price, the ease of incorporation into feeds, and the low level of anti-nutritional elements (when properly prepared).
